Rizal Park is a large park on the west side of Manila and it is one of the most visited parks – if not the most visited – in the country. At Rizal park stands the iconic Rizal monument. The park and the monument serve to honor Dr. Jose Rizal, who is the national hero of the Philippines. At the base of the Rizal monument lies the body of Rizal.

The University of Santo Tomas is the oldest university in the country. It is the pontifical and royal university of the Philippines.
