The Marikina Public Market is a big market where locals can find much of the things they need for everyday living. Photo immediately below shows the name of the market and a part of a jeepney, which is a public utility vehicle. Local food like chicharon, dried seafood and noodles – which are relatively inexpensive and eaten by most Filipinos – are sold in the market. Other items for sale include ready-to-wear clothes, fashion accessories, toys, beach items, slippers, bags, meat, fish and vegetables.
