Japan Stamps on Nine Souvenir Sheets
This is a photographic display of 9 souvenir sheets from Japan. These souvenir sheets contain “furusato" stamps or hometown stamps; they are also called “prefectural issues” since each individual souvenir sheet shows an illustration or a scene that is unique to a particular prefecture or province in Japan. The post office of Japan released many prefectural issues with furusato stamps during the 1990’s.
(Note: The sizes of souvenir sheets on white background are the enlarged version while the sizes of souvenir sheets on black background are almost the same or exactly the same as the actual sizes.)
