The article contains images of Philippine special cancellations released by the post office in 1953, 1954 and 1955. The special cancellations have different themes: Quezon birthday, aviation, Asian games, inauguration and anniversaries, and regional meetings of the UN and university women. There are two sets in the display: one for the regular-sized covers and one for large images.

*On the website (Philippine Stamps & Topical Collecting) which I made a long time ago at tripod.com, a few of these cancellations were placed under the heading “Slogan Cancellations.” The heading should had been “Slogan and Special Cancellations.” For five reasons, I can no longer edit the site: I forgot the password for the site, then. After this, my computer broke down. My e-mail account in another site was taken down since I did not use the account for about 3 months, which was the policy then. Later on, I forgot the password for my computer. And I – most likely – removed the original e-mail which I used when I applied for a site at tripod.com and changed it with a new one.
