This article contains artworks about love. Specifically, the artworks are based on the Corinthians verses about love found in chapters 13 and 14 of 1 Corinthians of the New Testament of the Bible. There are seven artworks that represent these Bible verses. These Bible verses are the following: 1 Corinthians 13:4, 1 Corinthians 13:4-5, 1 Corinthians 13:5, 1 Corinthians 13:7, 1 Corinthians 13:8, 1 Corinthians 13:13 and 1 Corinthians 14:1. The Corinthians verses about love are among the well-known passages in the Bible. It lifts the definition of love from the human level to the sublime, that which is eternal.
The Bible verses used in this article give some features of love. One verse describes love as patient and kind while two verses strongly suggest that love is clear and clean conscience – a conscience free from pride, envy and selfish demand to have one’s way only. Another verse describes love as forgiving. Two other verses describe love as faithful, hopelessly hopeful, enduring and lasting. Still another verse invites the reader to follow love – that which is the highest goal in life, that which is eternal.
